Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Post and Long COVID

Post and Long Covid are signs and symptoms that develop during or after a confirmed (official test carried out by NHS Scotland) infection of COVID-19.  It usually presents with a cluster of symptoms, often overlapping. Symptoms can change over time and can affect any system in the body.

Symptoms may include:

• Physical symptoms – Shortness of breath, low energy, unable to do usual day to day activities.
• Mental symptoms - Poor memory, ‘brain fog’, difficulty with planning/organising or problem-solving.
• Emotional difficulties - Depression, anxiety, nightmares/flashbacks.
