Physical Skills for Every Day Life

Building Strength, Balance, Coordination and Hand Skills can help with every day life skills like handwriting, dressing, using cutlery and joining in with P.E., sports and playing with friends.

Physical Skills for Every Day Life

While you are safe at home we wanted to help with ideas to build your child's skills.  Here are videos that will help build strength, balance, coordination and hand skills.

These will then help your child with everyday life skills like dressing, using cutlery, handwriting and joining in at school, with P.E., sports and playing with friends.

The videos are for school age children and can be added to your weekly routine while you are at home.  Build an exercise routine that suits your child.  You can pick and mix from the games and activities to suit your child.

You know your child and you know your home so choose videos that work for your household.  Be safe, work in a clear area with your child.  Remember to start with 2-3 of the exercise videos so that your child has warmed up. Stop if your child has any pain.

If your child is known to Occupational Therapy, your therapist can help you choose the right videos if you're not sure.
